Stuffed Mushrooms

Last year I had an appetizer party in the Fall. I think that I might make this a tradition.  I asked people to bring something fun to eat and the recipie. I am going to post the “best of” here.    This is another easy recipie that tastes really good and doesn’t require much prep.

1 to 2 cartons of white mushrooms

1 tube of sausage (the kind that is like hamburger….)

Optionals–a few tablespoons cheese (like Parmesean or Gouda), basil, parsley or garlic. Preheat oven to 400.   Gently wipe the dirt off of the mushrooms. Break the stems off the caps, leaving a small dent in the mushroom.  Top each dent with a spoonful of sausage.  Place these mushroom caps, sausage up, on a baking sheet and bake until about 5 minutes or until the sausage is brown.
